We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Technician to join our Colorado team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build experience in environmental consulting while working on a variety of field and technical projects throughout Colorado and Wyoming.

This position is primarily remote, although candidates must reside in Colorado due to fieldwork requirements.

Role Details

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct soil, groundwater, and water quality sampling and environmental monitoring.

  • Perform field investigations and collect accurate environmental data.

  • Analyze environmental data and assist with technical evaluations.

  • Prepare technical reports, maps, tables, and project documentation.

  • Maintain and calibrate field sampling and monitoring equipment.

  • Coordinate sample shipments and communications with analytical laboratories.

  • Travel to project sites throughout Colorado and Wyoming, including occasional overnight travel.

  • Support project managers with a variety of environmental compliance and investigation activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, Biological Sciences, or a related technical discipline.

  • Have 0–3 years of environmental field or consulting experience (internships are welcome).

  • Understand environmental sampling procedures, including groundwater, drinking water, stormwater, and wastewater.

  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Be detail-oriented with excellent technical writing abilities.

  • Effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities while working independently.

  • Demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office and standard computer applications.

  • Have a basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.

  • Be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • Be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and at high elevations.

  • Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

  • Have a working knowledge of EPA and applicable state and local environmental regulations.
