​Ardor personnel work throughout the rocky mountain region providing an array of regulatory support to assist your company with environmental compliance from conception to closure.
Trisha Fanning is the President and owner of Ardor Environmental LLC, which she founded in January 2020. She brings more than twenty-six years of regulatory compliance experience and has managed a wide range of environmental projects across the United States. Trisha provides technical expertise in environmental regulations governing water, waste, and air for clients in the energy and manufacturing sectors.

Trisha has significant compliance and permitting experience with the Colorado Energy and Carbon Management Commission (ECMC) and throughout the rocky mountain region. She has led numerous comprehensive compliance audits under the ECMC’s penalty framework and has helped companies develop and implement effective, defensible compliance programs. She also represents oil and gas operators in stakeholder meetings, commission hearings, enforcement actions, and litigation proceedings nationwide.

Before launching Ardor, Trisha founded the Small Operator Society (SOS) to represent privately owned oil and gas companies during the rulemakings that followed the passage of Colorado Senate Bill 19-181 in 2019. She now serves as the Executive Director of the Colorado OG Society, a trade organization representing privately owned oil and gas operators in Colorado. Trisha served on the Board of Directors for the Denver Petroleum Club (DPC), the Board of Advisors for the Western Energy Alliance (WEA) and is a past president of the Rocky Mountain Association of Environmental Professionals (RMAEP). An avid skier and water sport enthusiast, when she finds free time you can find her skiing or fishing in the baja of Mexico .

Trisha Fanning
President and Owner

With 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Ms. Barnett has developed a deep expertise in geological operations and regulatory compliance, with a focus on projects throughout the United States. Ms. Barnett studied Geologic Engineering at Colorado School of Mines. Prior to joining Ardor, she was an Operations Geologist, managing active drilling programs and offering key testimony during North Dakota Permitting Hearings.
Ms. Barnett has been with Ardor for the past two years and focuses on a wide range of responsibilities including General Colorado Compliance, Financial Assurance, Remedial Projects, Reclamation, Variances, and Permitting. She also plays a key role in assisting with the preparation of NOAV (Notice of Alleged Violation) responses.
In addition to her technical expertise, Ms. Barnett is Stormwater Management Certified and conducts Stormwater Inspections for various clients, ensuring compliance and environmental stewardship.

Geologic Engineer

Jennifer is a Regulatory Analyst, bringing more than eight years of expertise to Ardor. A graduate in Oil, Gas and Energy Law from the University of Oklahoma. Jennifer began her career in Texas (Anadarko Basin) managing permitting and compliance projects prior to moving to Colorado.

Jennifer continued her regulatory career as a consultant in Denver, expanding her knowledge of downhole operations and trained colleagues across multiple regulatory programs. Jennifer brings a wealth of knowledge and regulatory expertise, making her a valuable addition to the team.

Regulatory Analyst

Tristan Johnston is a third-year Environmental Engineering student at the University of Colorado Boulder, with a minor in Engineering Management. His academic interests center on sustainable energy and water management, and he has explored these through coursework in hydraulic engineering, thermodynamics, and water chemistry. Tristan has gained hands-on experience analyzing the energy nexus, conducting laboratory research, and designing public water systems with applications that support Colorado communities.
Originally from Fort Collins, he is passionate about protecting local environments and contributing to practical, community-focused engineering solutions. Outside of academics, Tristan enjoys fishing, hiking, skiing, and spending time with family, friends, and his dog, Oscar.
